Your information
Privacy policy
Your entered comparisons are stored on your device. Advertising and optional usage analytics are separate services with their own data processing.

1. Your comparisons and local preferences
Comparison titles, item names, entered prices, currencies, quantities, dates and unfinished drafts are kept in the app's private database. PackRatio has no app account, shopping-data upload service or automatic cloud synchronization. You do not need to sign in to calculate, save comparisons or use a backup.
Theme, backup reminders and privacy choices are stored locally. The app does not include your comparison titles, item names, prices, quantities or file contents in its custom advertising or analytics parameters.
2. Sharing and manual JSON backups
You can send a text summary to another app or export an unencrypted JSON file using Android's document picker. A backup can include your saved comparisons and unfinished draft. You select the destination; that app or file provider may have its own storage, transfer and privacy practices.
Import replaces your current work records only after confirmation. Theme, analytics consent, advertising choices and SDK identifiers are not part of your JSON backup. Automatic device/cloud backup of app records is excluded; keep your own exported copy if you need to recover your history.
Uninstalling the app, clearing its Android app data or losing the device can remove local records. We do not hold a server copy. Removing records in PackRatio does not remove files you exported or summaries you sent elsewhere.
3. Advertising and regional choices
Google Mobile Ads may show a banner in a separate area on a saved result. Ads do not appear while you enter prices. Calculation, history and backup remain available when there is no network, no available ad or no permission to request ads.
Google's advertising SDK may process IP address and approximate location, device/app identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Google states that these SDK transmissions use TLS. This processing is separate from your local comparison records. See Google Mobile Ads data disclosure and Google advertising privacy information.
Google's User Messaging Platform manages required regional messages and choices. Open Settings → Privacy & ad choices to view or change the advertising privacy options made available by the consent service. Refusing personalized ads does not necessarily stop every permitted form of advertising. You can also use Android's ad privacy controls; available settings depend on your Android version and device.
4. Optional usage analytics
Usage analytics is off by default. If the analytics service is available, you can read the in-app explanation and explicitly choose Agree and turn on. Google Analytics for Firebase then processes permitted feature-use/error events and automatic app/device information, an app-instance identifier and coarse location derived from network information. No PackRatio account ID is set.
The app disables Analytics advertising-ID collection and personalization signals. Custom events use fixed categories rather than your input content. Activities before consent are not queued for later submission. See Analytics SDK data disclosure and Google's collection controls.
Turning usage analytics off stops collection and resets local analytics data. It does not immediately erase data already processed on Google's servers. Advertising-service measurement remains separate from the optional Analytics choice.
5. Retention, deletion and requests
Local comparisons stay until you delete them, replace them through import or remove the app's data. For all local work, open Settings → Backup & data → Delete all work records and confirm. The action removes saved comparisons and the current draft; it cannot be undone. Theme and privacy choices remain. Exported files remain under your control.
Google service data follows the relevant service configuration, terms and retention/deletion controls. A local database deletion or Analytics reset is not a promise to erase all remote advertising or analytics records. Google explains local resets and server-side Analytics deletion separately.
To ask about access, correction, deletion or other privacy choices that may apply where you live, contact cmoonjun11@gmail.com. We will assess the request using the data and controls available and the applicable requirements. Because comparisons are stored only on your device, we cannot access or erase those records remotely. Do not send passwords, payment details, receipts or a full backup by default.
6. Support messages and children
Contacting support is your choice. An email composer lets you review the message before sending; the app does not automatically email or attach your records. Information you choose to send is used to respond and investigate the request and retained only as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations.
PackRatio is designed for adult shopping tasks and is not directed at children. It does not provide an app account or a public feed of user content.
7. These support pages
These pages do not embed advertising, analytics scripts, contact forms or external fonts. Google Firebase Hosting serves the pages and processes request information, including IP addresses, for delivery, security and abuse prevention. Google describes its Hosting IP retention in Firebase privacy information. Visiting this site does not upload your app's comparison database.
8. Updates and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date appears above. Contact MJ CHOI at cmoonjun11@gmail.com about this policy or use the support page.
